Florian Weitkamp

Florian Weitkamp works as a criminal defense lawyer in Berlin and nationwide.

After graduating from high school, he studied law in Münster and Berlin, graduating with honors. After the subsequent legal clerkship at the Superior Court of Justice, he also successfully passed the second state examination and joined the team of Weimann & Meyer directly thereafter. Since then, he has worked exclusively as a criminal defense attorney.

Already during his studies, the focus of his education was on criminal law and criminal procedure. Thus, he completed his major field of study in the field of criminology and graduated with a thesis on the defense in retrial proceedings.

During his studies, Florian Weitkamp worked in an office of a member of the German Bundestag. After his studies, he worked as a research assistant first at the Scientific Service of the German Bundestag and then in the criminal law department of the Federal Ministry of Justice.

During his legal clerkship, his training also focused on criminal law and, in particular, criminal defense. In addition to a station at the Juvenile Public Prosecutor’s Office, he completed his preparatory service with the renowned criminal defense attorneys Stefan Conen and Dr. Lukas Theune.

Florian Weitkamp is a member of the Association of Berlin Criminal Defense Lawyers (Vereinigung Berliner Strafverteidiger e.V.) and the Republican Lawyers Association (Republikanischer Anwältinnen- und Anwälteverein e.V.).
