Dr. Ulrich Lehmann mainly advises clients in criminal tax law, commercial criminal law and procedural tax law (so-called tax dispute). As a criminal defense lawyer by conviction, he also defends cases in almost every other field of criminal law. He works for his clients in all instances.
Ulrich Lehmann was born and raised in Berlin. After graduating from high school, he completed a “volunteer service” in Belfast/Northern Ireland, where he worked in a residential home for homeless young people.
After returning to Germany, he began studying law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) to become an attorney. He chose criminal law as his major field of study.
After the first state examination, he deepened his knowledge of criminal law by completing a master’s degree in commercial criminal law at the University of Osnabrück (“LL.M.”).
After finishing the masters degree he began his legal traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court in Berlin. Additionally to his legal clerkship, he successfully completed the specialist course in tax law (Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht).
After the second state examination, he was admitted to the bar and in his first three years as a criminal lawyer he was employed in well-known Berlin commercial criminal law firms until he set up his own law firm for criminal law and tax law in early 2016. In the same year, he also successfully completed the specialist course in criminal law (Fachanwalt für Strafrecht).
In March 2018 he joined the team of Weimann & Meyer.
Also in 2018 he finished his doctoral dissertation in the field of criminal procedure law (Dr. iur.).
